Episode six of “The Bachelorette” begins in Amsterdam as Gabby and Rachel prepare for an important week. They have big decisions to make: Who are they going to take on their hometown dates?
The history cards are read, and it turns out that both Zach and Nate are getting their second date of the season. The other guys – Ethan and Spencer – who haven’t been to one at all yet are unhappy.
Nate and Gabe’s single date takes a sad turn
Nate is glad to have another chance to spend time with Gabe, but unfortunately that time has been cut short. Something must have been amiss because the couple have been hanging out in Amsterdam and not involved in their normal bachelorette dating activities.
Gabe told Nate that she was thinking about the huge responsibility it would be for her to become a mother to his daughter if she and Nate ended up together. She says she is afraid to be a mother because she is afraid that she will be bad at it. Although it was a tough decision, Gabe eventually broke up with Nate and sent him home. The whole conversation was really heartbreaking as you can see in the video featured in the player above. Both Nate and Gabby seem devastated, but it seems like the mature decision to make.
Rachel and Zack tip toe through lily
Rachel and Zack have a once-in-a-lifetime experience as they wander the fields of thousands of tulips in the Netherlands by taking Polaroids. Then they move on to sampling cheese and trying tampons before relaxing in a hot tub ideally located in the middle of a tulip field.
The pair meet for an intimate dinner at a museum for the evening portion of their date, and Zach shares that he’s excited about the prospect of meeting Rachel with his family. He opened up more about Rachel, telling her how unhappy two years ago he was. He decided to change things up and make himself whole so he could share that with someone else.
Zach puts his heart on the line and tells Rachel that he is falling in love with her. She offers him a rose, and the couple enjoy a private string quartet concert.
The group date with Gabi gets steamy
Gabby’s remaining men – Logan, Jason, Eric, Spencer, and Johnny – meet her on a very unconventional group date. They are greeted by Suzie, a self-proclaimed “sexual expert” who helps them with -ahem-things in the bedroom…if you notice my drift. If it seems uncomfortable, that’s because it was. Jason’s exact quote was, “Honestly, one of my worst nightmares.”
After this very naughty date, Gabe receives a visit from our host, Jesse. He told her that Logan tested positive for COVID-19. They should cancel a cocktail party that night and remove Logan from the show. Feel better soon, Logan! I guess we’ll never know what could have been between him and Gabe.
Rachel’s “Cheese” set date
Tino, Tyler, Ethan and Aven join Rachel on their party date in Edam, the cheese capital of the world. The guys take turns dragging Rachel for a while, but the competition really rages on with what can only be described as a dead cheese contest. With the yoke weighted by huge wheels of cheese, they must see who can hold out the longest with the weight on their shoulders. Tino turns out to be the victor, and the pair come out in front of all the other guys: So sad, this is embarrassing.
On the evening segment of their date (apart from the corny jokes), Tyler shares that he’s falling in love with Rachel. She must have fallen in love with him too because she gave him a group date hike. Tino, after winning the cheese contest, is very upset. Cheddar luck next time, Tino.

It’s time for the ladies to make their final decision on who to go on their hometown dates. Roses went as follows:
